FAQs
What wines do you sell?
1
We currently sell Raspberry and Ginger wines. For those with a more adventurous taste palette, check out our wine club! Each month you’ll receive flavours like Blackberry and Melon, Blueberry and Gorseflower, and whatever else Gretchen cooks up that month! A wide range of our flavours can also be sampled and purchased at any of our wine tasting events.
Do you use sulphites in your wine?
2
We do not use any added sulphites to our wine, making it naturally vegan. During fermentation, sulphites are produced naturally—but to a low amount—which is why our labels legally must contain the disclaimer: “containing sulphites.” However, it was always important to us to create as natural a product as possible, especially because many of our friends were intolerant to sulphites, so we do not add them in.
Since we do not use fining agents in our wine (ie. sulphites), there can be a small accummulation of sediment over time, especially if your bottle was filled at the end of a batch. It is perfectly harmless and just goes to show that you are drinking a more natural product. If you find it visually unappetising, simply do not pour it into your glass.
Why is there something floating at the bottom of my wine bottle?

Where can I find your wines?
4
We are currently in talks with several bars and shops around Cork city. Keep an eye here as we will be updating this section soon!
Where does the name come from?
5
When Gretchen first started making wine, she was inspired by an old song she once loved, which waxed poetic about the “summers of dandelion wine”. She went to the park to pick dandelions—just to see that the grass had recently been cut! Where could she go that they didn’t mow the grass? To the historic cemetery just around the corner! And thus A Grave Success was born.
